Dear people on the winamp community,

I am just recently the webmaster of
http://www.bsplayer.com
bsplayer is a divx player witch can be skinned completly
it's the perfect player fot watching divx files or ripped dvd's because you can display subtitles and much more,

like winamp this player is very low on cpu resources, making it possible to play a high quality divx on a celeron 433, try that with mediaplayer. wont work.

I started a skinning contest to increase the number of skins for this perfect player.
just check out my site and see,

BSPlayer has been my favorite player for a long time.

That link you posted doesn't work, but http://bsplayer.cjb.net/ does. How come?

goety 14th May 2001 04:31

damned

being the webmaster youd think I can spell the URL??
anyway it's
http://www.bsplay.com

please take a look

mr_sax 14th May 2001 07:05

i watch some... er.... good movies on that program

Bizznatch 14th May 2001 08:03

yeah, i just downloaded this, but isn't this a cross post?

weedsatan 14th May 2001 11:45

Stuff like this is always being cross-posted...

They should learn not to do that...

But I never tried that player to watch my movies..

I always use GDivX...

PabUK 14th May 2001 14:22

Its a cross-post and it hasn't been locked? GASP!

Twilightseer 14th May 2001 14:29

I've locked the other thread.
Thanks for pointing it out.

PabUK 14th May 2001 14:34

Just want to say to goety you could have just edited your original post to set the correct URL. You can only do this for 48 hours after the post was made (I think).

mr_sax 14th May 2001 15:05

I thought it was 1 minute after the post..

a-arse 14th May 2001 15:11

I thought it was 35 minutes after post...

goety 14th May 2001 16:08

thx everybody

I didn't know you could edit your post, If I did ofcourse I wouldn't have crosposted this. Thx for all of your support,

tell me witch skin you like best, and if anybody has an idea on how to determine witch skin would win, help is always welcome.

:-) I hope nobody blames me for making a bit of advertisement this way, but I figure, that's how winamp started and the winamp idea, (very good player on low system resources) is exactly the idea after BSplay

SO, http://www.bsplay.com ,got it right this time :-)

again thx to everybody who already visited my site.

it's 120 minutes

and up till 10 minutes ( i think ) afterwards, you can edit your post without the edit tage being added.

chiquita chad 15th May 2001 00:14

and whats the um erm prize for the winner?

PabUK 15th May 2001 01:24

I can finally offer the ACTUAL value of time for editing posts (because I just tried to edit my original one in this thread). And the answer is...

...180 minutes!

nateJC 15th May 2001 02:06

Sorry, pal, I've been messing with BSPlayer for a few hours now and I can't say it's the "perfect DiVX player". I will offer some pointers though.

Discrete buttons are good, right click menus are not. Try to add some small buttons in your player for Options, Full Screen, Skins, the kinds of things most people want readily available.

Also, the whole idea of playlists and recent files is kind of unnecessary. Why bother?

Using these suggestions and fixing some of the bugs would really help BSPlayer to be a top-notch program. Otherwise, at least you have the right name going ;)

goety 15th May 2001 04:56

next bsplayer version

in the next version of bsplayer every right click menu will have button support, so everything you want can be skinned
I mean playlist will have a button, preferences, ....
