I am hoping the Great Gods of Music can help me. I have a web site that has some Irish oriented pages.

http://www.friend.ly.net/~kellybr/

I have about 100 irish songs (vocal and instrumental) mp3 format that I FTPed to my host server. I want to link a music page to these songs but here is my problem.

The file sizes are HUGE...1 - 9+ megs. Obviously, it takes a long time to upload files of that size for visitors to my web site.

Is there anyway I can put these files on my server in a format that is more "listener friendly"?

You could give RealAudio a try. Don't know a good cenverter though :(

If you really watn to disgrace yourself with realshite, then go for Real Jukebox (?) for converting MP3 to Real formats, or CoolEdit 2000/Sound Forge 5

Or just encode the MP3's at a lower bitrate.
