How do I use HTML to open programs on my computer? I am creating a portal on my desktop, and want ot use it to open say winamp.exe but do not want it to come up with the download screen, but want the program to run straight away.

Any help.ideas?

i tried that before, didnt work too good.

it cant not download the file, to my knowledge.

just use file:///c:\windows\file.exe

but otherwise i dont think you can.
