When I play some songs I get all these pop-up windows all over the place. Also, recently when I play certain songs, it automatically stops playing, downloads some other song I've never heard of and plays it erasing my current playlist! How do I stop this??

Thx

MP3s?
WMAs?
Streams (Shoutcast)

what kind op pop-ups?
- IE?
- Dialog Boxes?
- The mini-browser?

Its when I play certain mp3's. A couple of pop-ups appear then disappear. The mini-browser then opens and then a streaming song replaces my playlist and plays itself. In the mini-browser it says its at http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/2/abstract_elements
And its not always the same song, sometimes its a different band. I don't know how to stop this from happening!

Alt+3 when playing (main window) and remove any URLs you see :)

That may stop the pop-ups from coming up, but it doesn't stop the new song streaming in and replacing my playlist. Also, I forgot to mention, that after all this happens when I try to close winamp, it crashes on me! I dunno.

1. Do as sawg says.

2. Remove 3rd party plugins, especially General Purpose ones (gen_*.dll)

3. Reinstall Winamp.

4. Check for possible viruses.
