Hello, I've got 2 computers.

One, running Windows 98 and one, running Windows 2000.
I recently noticed something extremely annoying about the Windows 2000 machine.

When I play a song in winamp on win98 machine, and uses some other program that plays sounds, only the winamp song is hearable, and all other sounds are mute.

BUT, in Windows 2000, when I play a song in Winamp, and use another program that makes noices, such as ICQ, I can hear both sounds. That is sooo annoying.

is there any way out of this?

thast because windows 2000 "fixed" this problem from Windows 98. Yes, this was considered a bug, and therefore not an option. your best best is to try to downgrade your sound card drivers or shur off system sounds :)
