I previously had WinAmp ver. 2.74 and uninstalled it to download the new one. Now, as I try to download, I KEEP getting this error message:

File (Winamp275_full.exe) was not completed successfully due to unexpected server response 553 Permission denied. An "incoming" directory is for uploading only.

WHAT IS THIS???

Weird!
Where is this error message coming from exactly?
What is the title of the window/box?
Is it coming from the Winamp installer, your browser (which is?), your download manager, Windows, firewall software, or somewhere else, eg. ISP or DSL server?
Any further details regarding this would certainly help.

Are you using the "save to disk" option or "run from current location"?
Where are you trying to download from?
winamp.com or some ftp site?

What I suggest is that you delete the download & try again, but temporarily turn off any firewall or Norton type protection first (if relevant).

Maybe try downloading fron a different location?

btw, there's no need to uninstall before upgrading.
Simply install over your current version!

For future reference - when installing a new version of Winamp, you do NOT have to uninstall the old one!
