other then music. I would like to use the graphics mode with vocals. For instance I want to be able to talk into a microphone and have the graphics mode react the same as if it were music. So, I need a line-in or Mic-in to be the selected mode for sync graphics.....thx

Assuming that the visualisations work when you play an mp3, go to the main window, and right-click on the eject/open file button, and a popup menu appears...select open location
then enter: linein:// And it should work now. If that doesn't work, go to Winamp Preferences/Plug-ins/Input, double-click on "Nullsoft CD/LineIn plug-in", and make sure that "Sample input from soundcard (for vis)" is selected. If it still doesn't work, try this: Double-click on the little yellow speaker icon in your system tray to open Windows's Volume Control window. Click on "Options", then "Properties". Select "Recording", make sure that all items listed under "Show the following volume controls:" are selected, and click on the "OK" button. Then make sure that "Select" is selected in the "Line" column, and that the "Line" volume is turned up (about halfway seems to be best on my system). Then try opening the "linein://" location in Winamp again. And finally, if it still doesn't work, try using Jasper v/d Gronde's LineIn plug-in, which you can get here: http://home.hccnet.nl/th.v.d.gronde/dev/index.html |
