Hi there,
While trying to open any mp3 file using my winamp, I get the message "MMSYSTEM002 A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system." please help me out regarding the same.

Could not create direct sound object

Thank you so much for the instant help, but after following the instructions and also downloading DirectX, it now shows "Error: Could not create DirectSound object". Please help.

Install a sound card, then install Winamp. Sound players (especially Winamp) work best with a sound card.
