Anyone got any ideas on what is going on with the installer of WinAmp 2.76 Full Edition?

I get the message:
Installer CRC invalid

with the title as:
Nullsoft Install System v1.44 ERROR


I'm using Windows Me... All other Winamps work perfectly fine!

Hey dude, you do not have to run a virus-scanner at all ... The same CRC error occurred to me as well when I downloaded Winamp v2.76 with my crappy 56k dial up. In order to solve your problem, simply redownload it again using a download manager such as GetRight or GoZilla. That solved the CRC problem for me :D.

AK_Tsang, this problem happened for me too. I solved the problem by using a download tool. Besides the previously mentioned GoZilla and GetRight, there is also Netzip and Net Vampire. Be aware that these two are "spyware" type applications. You can learn more about spyware at http://www.grc.com under the topic "Optout".

Talkin' 'bout Spyware, GoZilla contains Spyware as well :eek:. This rather sucks, as you know, many programs (especially freeware from which you think it is "clean") install Spyware shiyat onto your computer.
I recommend installing & using Ad-Aware, a freeware program which detects and removes Spyware off of your machine. Link is http://www.lavasoftusa.com
