I wanna see pics of your cell phones. :) I'll show you mine here:
http://www.darthsdomain.homestead.co.../myphone02.jpg Mine's a Nokia 5165. As you can see, it's quite customized. :) It has a Tango-Orange faceplate, a multicolored light-up antenna, and yes, that's a holographic smilie in the screen. :D |
What a waste!
I mean, cool! :D |
i must say.. that happy face is shnazzy :D
|
i got a buddy who has a red one with flip-down key cover, and the a transparent battery-thingie that lights up the back and antenna when a call comes in. it can vibrate, too.
|
Well, I least I've got a calculator that looks like a cell phone ;)
|
I have a fake cell phone to make me look cool:D
|

Come on peepz, I wanna see pics of your phones, too. :) |
I will scan mine tomorrow, but here are some specs:
Seiemens C35i Ringtone - Monty Python signature tune (the looks i get on buses :D) End logo -Ickle doggie running across ma screen Most called number - My girls :o Most texted number - My girls :o Other features - no battery cover. (broken) netowrk - Orange. |
Spiffy. :)
I've got a ton of different ringing options in my phone, but I just keep it on the default ring. That way, I can always tell that it's my phone that's ringing cuz everybody else has some crazy-ass sound for a ring on theirs. :D I do have to admit, though, the Mexican Hat Dance is a really kewl ring. ;) |
The best thing about my phone is taht I have the cable to connect it to my PC, so i can use software to manage all the features, which menas what take minutes of presing keys take seconds with the mouse.
|
I wish I could do that with mine... :( It has the capability, but I don't have the cables or software.
I can do that with my watch, though. :) I've got a Timex Datalink that I use my pooter to control. All I have to do is hold my watch about a foot from the screen, hit enter, and the screen magically flashes little lines that my watch stores as phone numbers and shtuff. :D Love this thing. My phone also has games on it, too. BUT, I'm proud to say that I've never played them once. Not once. :) |
I have got:
Minesweeper (from Microsoft) Connect 4 Wayout Reversi |
THEY ARE SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Complete waste of time and money
I think people get them because of a few reasons 1. tones 2. text message 3. to show off/look cool but really sad 4. keeping with a so called trend 5. use them to piss people off Get a life, smell the coffee, grow up BlueTape2k1 |
@Blue
Hey dude... I got mine to communicate with. That's all I use it for. I've gotten in a jam a few times, and without my phone, I'd have been screwed for sure. And since I have it, why not make it look cool?
1.) No, all those tones are annoying. 2.) That'd be a neat feature, but I don't have it. 3.) No, just to keep in touch. 4.) The only trend I like is MotorTrend. 5.) I don't try to piss people off with it, but sometimes it happens. |
i dont' have a cell phone, i never plan to get one (until next year, anyway) and i'm the only one in my house who doesn't have one
i HATE the novelty rings that ppl use, b/c they AREN"T a novelty, everyone has the same ones as options, and everyone uses the same ones i'm done ranting, sorry |
I use mine for emergencies and to check sports scores from work.
"Can you drive any better with that phone up your ass?":D |
that's not at all a waste of money! those that think that are obviously jealous. besides, it looks cool http://www.mpz.co.uk/cwm/cwm/3dlil/cool.gif

Sorry to tell you this I had one and got rid of it beacuse I got bored with it and it ate up my money instantly ------------------------------------------------------------ I do know some people (SOME) get them for emergencies but people do abuse them (I'm sure Bilbo has something sick to say about that) All I'm saying people aged from 1 - to say 15 Dont really need one and if they do, they expect their parents to get them...maybe not in the US but Britain is crammed with people the age of 8 onwards who really don't need it as they only want to be cool and trendy and shit. There is always cases where people get robbed just for a stupid phone that came out in the 70's as they where basically walkie talkies "now crammed into a 2cm box" This is my view so take it or leave it Bluetape2k1 |

PS: and age range is from 8 to 18 roughly |
:)
thats my point I'm tring to make thanks

Nullsoft should work on this...

Yes, please! Then, it can make cell phone users cancerous, deaf, AND blind!

A samsung... 8500 I believe is the model. I HATE it- but I have to have it because I got-sta got-sta got-sta commun-i-cate! for work, or else I don't get business :( I call it my "Ball and chain" for that reason. Oh well- theres this online trivia game on it and i kick everyone's sorry butt in that game between class periods:) I have an issue with cell phone rings- When Beethoven finished his fifth symphony, a masterpiece of epic proportions, do you ever think he thought "in a couple centuries, a poorly duplicated version of my life's work will be used as a method to rudely annoy people to get their attention?" - For that reason, I use a normal ring :) Sarge- where did you get the light thing for the top? I've seen them before, but I've never seen them sold. |

Siemens C25 http://www.siemens.nl/mysiemens/images/c25_beeld.gif Ringtone - (selfmade) beep, a 1 second beep that continues 4ever. :D End logo - Haven't got one, mines too old. ;) Most called number - My girl :o ;) Most texted number - My girl :o ;) Other features - no battery cover. (broken) network - BEN |
I'll snap a shot of my Nokia 5190 sometime. It's pretty much stock anyway... came with a translucent blue case so nothing to get really excited about. My friend has an 8290 with blue lights... people actually fork up money to mod their phones with new LEDs and stuff... I don't know what's worse... that or putting crappy-ass bodykits on riceburners.
I initially didn't want a phone, but seeing how as I've been across several counties (Southern California is a pretty broad area) and have had to fork over lots of change just to make calls, the cell has been a good long-term solution. That, and whenever my line is busy, people can call me here... heh. I haven't had my phone go off in movie theatres and stuff... I think your cell is like a baby at the theatre... once they start, everyone will get pissed. And people driving with their phones piss me off too. The only ring I really hate are "Playground" and "Better Off Alone"... I've got "Itchy and Scratchy" and "Uncle Fucka" because other rings just suck... hehe. :D |

I think that aside from lawyers and doctors, cellphones are for the insecure and lazy. I use payphones. Sure, I can't receive calls, but I can make'em, and the transmission is a heck of a lot clearer!
|
no no, it's not small.. the woman's hand is just rrrreeeeeaaallllly big :D
|
Nullsoft should work on this...

Xerxes- I got the light-up antenna at this little cart that sells all kinds of cell phone shtuff in the Mall Of Louisiana (in Baton Rouge) last time I was over there. I got the holographic smilie there, too. :) |
