Hi,

I have a problem with the plugins. Mostly concerned with the output plugins. The diskwriter plugin to record wav files does not work. I tried a mp3 output plugin also and that doesn't work. Basicily what is happening is that i chose the plugin and configure it i go and hit play and the stupid thing starts playing. I don't want it to play i want it to record. I check again "Ctrl-p" and look under output plugins and it is set to diskwriter, click close, hit play, it starts playing! I want it to record, not play. It does the samething for the mp3 output plugin.

Also, the spectrum analyzer doesn't work at all, neither does the oscilliscope. Stays a strait line. I did download a visualization plugin; I bet that fucked it up.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I have tried 3 versions. 271, 275, and 276. I'm not about to reinstall windows 98 SE for the third time in 3 days!

Thanks!

dam ... ok i tried a normal wav file and it worked, it won't work for a cd "Radiohead: amnesiac". You think the stupid thing is encoded so i can't make wav files or mp3's?

who knows...

As explained in this thread c/o TSGH:

You'll need the CDReader plugin in order to rip CDA to WAV or MP3 with Winamp.

Alternatively, what you really need is a good CD-Ripper.
Try CDex (freeware)
