I found the pimp archiver to be somewhat complicated, ("screw this!" i said, once i'd looked over the giant readme file, which continues on the web site) so I searched for a different program. (<-- true story.) In my search for an alternative I came across PowerArchiver 2001, its a decsent program with alot of stuff (maybee even beter than Winzip; i think.) and its free. Therefore, I thought it would be kind of me to share this valuable knowledge ( :D ) so click here.

-bad news everyone powerarchiver sold out and is now charging for their program just like everyone else.

Pimp is not an archiving program, it's used to design installers.
If you find it to hard you use, you can try InnoSetup
It's free and includes wizards that make it easy to use.

And yes, Powerarchiver is no longer free, version 7.0 is now shareware.
The last freeware version is 6.11 (and can still be downloaded from various websites)
