at the moment it has no name and is missing cursors and an MBinner. I will add these later. does anybody have any suggestions for this skin and/or a name for it? bugs?

nice concept, but is the bg white or transparent? Cuz it looks neet on a white background, but if its not transparent i wouldn't like it on a dark background.

Kinda. Each window has a two pixel border around it which is white. The only transparent bit is the dip at the top of the main window.

Nice , I like it, very simple, yet effective :), can't see any obvious bugs in it so far.

It's not very good, the tray icons go a weird color. What is the colour palette for tray icons? 256?

BTW, I'm still waiting on a name so I can finish the EQ with a logo, MBinner and the all important readme.txt! :D

All depends on what version of windows you are running lol, anything below windows ME will only display 16 colours in the tray area for ANY icon, this is a flaw with windows that has been present since 95 days, ME/2000 fix this so you can use 16 million if you want.

But as you are trying to please allllll the people allllll the time, and the 9.x user base is still pretty massive you are gonna have to do those tray icons in 16 colour, windows base pallete, sucks dosnt it, blame Gates :),

Bottom line, do you mikro.bmp in as many colours as you like, just make sure when you get to the bottom you start drawing in simple colours, base red, base green, base blue etc etc.

I'll wait till you've fixed that before snagging the Mikro for that pack, :)

By the way, did you know that the bottom right hand corner pixel on mikroamp, defines the transparancy colour for the tray icons?, as in your case the bottom right corner pixel is black, and your button states on the tray icons are black, they become transparent in the tray :)

as your buttons are square and take up the whole 16x16 area, then you dont need transparancy, so change the bottom right pixel to a colour you aint using in the tray :)

Isn't white transparent?

Yes for the main window, but as I said, the bottom right hand pixel defines the tray transparancy colour, so if it's black , then anything in the tray thats black will be transparent, if it's red anything in the tray that is red will be transparent.

All you have to do to fix yours is change the bottom right pixel to something that isnt black.

Finally, here is the latest version. Any problems with such a simple bitmap and I'm gonna shout at somebody. Maybe THEMIKE :)

The three entities look like have been connected or plugged together - so I would name it Nexus or Nexx - there must be an 'X' in the name IMO :)

I see you took my advice about the green!;) I like it now I've seen the PL. It looks good, very graphic and crisp. Nice one.

Tip...maybe you could crop off the lower part of the eqmain.bmp. Not the sliders, just cut the part below that...eliminating the err...what's it called?...the small black line (centered at the top) that represents the EQ...because it runs OVER the wite bar now.

Your MB buttons also don't have a "pressed" state to them, hard to tell if you've pressed them or not :)

Also your EQ minimise button, the one you press to put it into winshade, also has no pressed state, it stays white when you press it , the close button fills in, I think that button is one of the four buttons to be found on the EQ_ex.bmp bitmap, don't ask me what it's doing on there, but I'm pretty sure it is :)

Oh and while I'm at it LOL, your main window, context menu button, top left hand corner, jumps to the right when the window is in winshade mode and you press that button.

<blushing> Mr Jones I'm so sorry, there is a mistake in the Red Mercury MikroAmp - the small mode has only 15x15 pixel - I fixed it and the correct pic should show up above now

Great skin, I love it, but...

- EQ winshade button missing clicked state (it's in eq_ex.bmp)
- Winshade PL 1 pixel too short on right side
- Menu button in main window shifts 1 right when clicked
- Winshade button in PL shifts one right when clicked
- un-Winshade button in Winshade PL has black line on right side when clicked
- Close button in PL winshade shifts one right when clicked
- Missing posbar in main winshade

I know what you mean about the eq graph. I don't mind it. Personally I think it would look crap with only 5 of 19 pixels viewable.

Better Colours! :D I spent ages looking for three nice but different colours. I love them. Green is my favourite colour but I usually go darker however this ksin needed a lighter shade. Red and yellow seemed like good choices because of traffic lights! :)

MJ, I'll work on the MB pressed states. How can I fix the eq ws bug. I have looked at the eq_ex but it looks right to me. Help!

flatmatt, thanks for the bug report. The missing posbar in the main windowshade is through choice. I think it's such a crap area to skin like the entire eq winshade.

I'm going to add a bug / design fault. With the main window turned off (ALT+W) and the Playlist streched the visualisation has a red background whereas the playlist is green. Urgh. Ugly. I'm gonna work on that soon.

Thanks ampburner. I love simplicity as well. Don't get me wrong I loove intense amps such as your Velocity one but I prefer clean amps.

MJ, looking at the eq_ex.bmp, this is what I see (left to right, top to bottom):

Volume bar, Balance bar
Unclicked WS button, Unclicked X button
Clicked WS button, CLicked WS button

Is that right? If so, where does the clicked WS button (on the main EQ window) go? Just this then I can submit and you can download!

it's the top right hand one, that should be a pressed state, as is the one below that, and the one to the right of that, the top left hand one in a unpressed state, yeah wierd I know :)
