anywho.. how long has s1138 been a Mod here... i find that to be extreme shit... he complains every single day to the Mods/Admin to become a mod... her gets his wish... now he becomes a mod of this board?? thats pure shit... he's posted in here maybe once or twice... why do the admin do this stuff... they said themselves we dont need so many mods... so instead of deleting iomega and leaving his spot blank, they add someone... i believe they just contradicted themselves

stuff like this is why these forums suck

This is something to complain about but, would it be better serverd somewhere else. Personally, who cares only a few mods actually do anything by my account anyways. (no offense intended). And of those they are regularly assisting other people. But, as for s1138 or some others...they never post, and as far as I can they do not do anything anyways...so what does it matter?

Yes I think it's rather awkward that s1138's been made mod of skin love....since I've never seen him in here... BUT:

I agree with you here...I don't like the "ooh I've been a reg for so long, now it's my turn to become a mod" attitude that some forum members have either.

Wow, thats pretty fickeled. But his whining is just like wut happens with a kid and his parents, he'll keep whining and whining till he gets his way.

The moderated by field is a legacy of the old UBB board where moderators could only moderate the forums they were assigned to , where as now we can moderate in whatever forum we feel like, no one complains when I go in the tech support forums to post or when I wack cross posts in gen discussion, even tho I post in there about as frequently as I grow an extra leg.

Why was s1138 placed in here?, well in case you hadn't noticed the random rumor mill forum has been absorbed into the nullsoft propaganda forum. As s1138 was "assigned" to the random rumour mill , along with phisherman, they were left floating in the wilderness when that forum was removed, so to keep the names visable they were allocated to other forums. Now I believe, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong here cos I havn't looke that hard, but the forum moderated field only allows for 5 names at a time, so best guess here is watadoo did some name shuffling to allow s1138 and phisherman to get there names back on the boards.

Now this moderated by filed is pretty redundant now, and may even be dropped once VB2 ever gets off the ground. Personaly I think it's a good idea to list the mods against specific forums,particulary focused forums like skin love, tech support forums etc etc. Speaking for myself I do get a lot of tech support and "how do I" type mails, while I don't mind this, I'd hate to start getting mails from people asking for plug in advice or shoutcast advice, cos simply I don't have much knowledge in those areas, at least with allocated mods, tech questions do get pointed towards people with relevant knowledge.

Honestly, who gives a shit...typically only a few of you guys are active mod's anyways. Most of the others are just 'glory' hounds. I'm a mod ooh ooh look at me, yeah...blah blah drool. Typically, with some of the mod's i've dealt with they believe they got their pos. through popularity and etc. While that may or may not be true it certainly seems the attitude of some. Anways, as far as mod's are concerned you should have a direct forum to take care of each individually. Working on an area that you are familiar with and have expertise in.

yes. i agree with mj. i'm very disheartened having just returned from sunny germany to see this thread. really, does it matter that much whether we have a mod. i think people in here can be very over sensitive over small issues. could somebody just lock this thread as it achieves nothing positive but much negativity.

and as i have said many times before. me wanting to be mod started out as a joke. i had been here so long(longer than some mods) yet i was still a member. and it evolved into me becoming the official wannabe mod. (yes, it was official)

as mr. jones said, it doesnt matter where your name it. cause all mods moderate all forums. my name was just put under a forum so that people would know i am a mod.

and, as this thread proves. skin love is in need of moderation bad. as other forums-people know. this is probably the worse forum.

I thought the ideal of even having forums in the first place was to talk about various situtations around or concerning Winamp its .com service and the services surrounding the application. Now, from what I can tell this is what is happening here s1138 and not directing a flame towards anyone in particular. Except that someone is upset that you have become a mod out of whatever reason. Now, having said that...how is it that you can get away with telling people off and showing people how much of an ass your are yet say you need to come here and mod the room...

s1138 if you did lock it then you would create more of situation than you'd know what to do with. And then you'd create the them vs us scenario. In reality we are all users of the product. Your difference is that you are supposed to mediate not create situations regardless of where you stand on any given issue. Or when it is indeed about you or of you.

Personally, I do not either hate or like you. I do however, believe that your wording here should of been thought out a bit more before blurting your mouth off and creating a situation that many an individual will not only take by the literal sense but, will also feel that the moderator's aren't here to help them but, to project a self-indulging atmosphere.

Sure you didn't create the thread that was already negative but, you did speak up and while doing that you did take a rather hostile approach at trying to resolve the situation. Which by no account even started to resolve it.

Anyways, s1138 Do what your going to do by first impressions I think you are a waste of the tag they gave you and it will be a hard pressed thing to do to change my mind on that subject.
