Counting pixels and I STILL can't keep the buttons still...!

Can anyone tell me if I'm wasting my time trying to keep the buttons from shifting? I remember reading somewhere that there are known glitches in the base skin but that they can't be rectified 'cuz it would render all the current skins useless. Is this one of those glitches? Another big question would be- Is there a list anywhere of those known glitches?

I know the title bar has (maybe had) a glitch

The titlebar, pledit, and avs all have glitches. In the titlebar, one line of pixels is used both as the bottom of the active winshade and the top of the inactive winshade. The pledit close and minimize buttons are off by one pixel. The avs's close button doesnt not appear when u click it. Those are the glitches. As for the pixel shifting, wut .bmp editor are u using?
U should try:
www.jasc.com (paintshop pro)
www.adobe.com (photoshop)

And maybe a better base skin:
