I was bored at work, so I made this WA3 skin
 

I was mucho bored at work this morning, so threw together this "little Winamp3 skin in about an hour. :D

As some of you know, I like to make mini Winamp sigs to announce my WA2 skins, now Uncle Cappy suggested that once I start on the path to WA3 I should make one into a player, so here it is :D "Mini Me"

It has everything I need from my Winamp, play pause, a volume bar (above the controls) and a pos bar (below the controls) everything else can be found in the context menu :D , all wrapped up in classic WA2 clothing :D, oh and it's strechable (bottom right corner)

You will need a copy of WA3 to run it of course, available HERE

It's tested as working on alpha667, not sure about the new one, but the skin does nothing fancy so I'm sure it'll work.

Why did I post this in here instead of the WA3 forum ,well I know some of you guys don't get out of here much, and I wanted to show you how easy WA3 skinning can be :D, so don't be put off by all the images, and XML files, it's fair straight forward.

You might be waiting a damd long time then LOL, 8 or 9 months down the line and still in alpha?, 667 (the last alpha I got) was pretty sweet, I use it at home as my default player, mainly due to the shoutscast server list thingy ma jig.

LOL. Who-hooo! It really, truly happened! And it looks Swell, classic lines throughout. It also proves that WA3 skins don't have to be some mega bitmap sprawling across my desktop. Thank you, Mr Jones.

And damn you, too. Off I go to DL WA3 alpha. Now, where were those excellent tutorials? *Mutter, grumble, fricksassafrass....*

coolness :D:D:D You should do these on all your future WA3 skins too...normal mode, windowshade mode.....tadaa! MikroJones mode!!!!

Fuck it, might just make all my future winamp skins that size, I only ever use MikroAMP these days anyhow, this isn't much bigger :D


By the way, just updated the download link to work with alpha L8 and added a minime EQ as well LOL, dosn't do much, but you get the idea :D

And for some reason, dunno if it's just me, but when I download this it makes the file name "minime.wal.zip", which causes the skin to go screwy, if it does that, just rename it "minime.wal"

heh, minime thinger was on the cards for tommorow, and yeah I canned the MB, never use it much, was gonna can a few other components as well. lite is good, specialy for me.

hehe! i agree i've got rid of a few components already, well not totally got rid just renamed to .old instead of .wac

as long as there is a resizeable window somewhere that handles guid:default then it shouldnt matter what u take in and out.
