Excersize???

With all the computer useage - what do you do for excersize? And no, typing on the keyboard does not count.

I rollerblade and swim.

Have an awesome day :D

Kevin 24th August 2001 19:54

I enjoy long walks on the beach and cuddling.

Oh wait. Wrong thread.

Anyways, we have a pool so I swim n' stuff.

ElChevelle 24th August 2001 19:56

I used to rollerblade until I shattered my leg taking a dive in January. I gained nearly 50 lbs. being laid up with that so now I'm making slow strides getting back into running. Do alot of ab crunches and free weights too.

Nothing burns calories like MOSHING though!:p

mr_sax 24th August 2001 20:30

tennis
bike (just biked in the MS-tour [75 km in 4 hours])

That would make an average of less than 20km/h  Now I'm not trained at all (AT ALL!) and I can do more than that...

I hope you're talking about an off-road course...

Aeroe 24th August 2001 21:19

hmm just weight lifting at school and paintball sometimes.
i used to play soccer for years till i got tore up. :(

ElChevelle 24th August 2001 21:26

Bilbo just missed a spot on the PMT (Professional Masturbator's Tour):D;):p

Huehuetenango 24th August 2001 21:36

i bike all the time (planning a trip to collingwood, 130km)
that's about it

s1138 24th August 2001 21:39

OH! i bike too...not alot though, cause there are alot of hills around here.

Huehuetenango 24th August 2001 21:43

but hills are fun, man
especially when you go down them at more than 60km/h
going up sucks, but it really gets your leg muscles built

Nofx Guy 24th August 2001 21:44

i am very active, i swim on a swim team 15 hours a week, then i do 5 hours of dryland training for the team (total of 20 hours a week on swim team) then i rollarblade everywhere, prolly between 5-10 km/s a day (dont know what that is in miles, around 7 perhaps??) , i do the ocasional bike, perhaps once a week. then i do free weights at home, and crunches and other excercises. i also play basketball and volleyball in school.

Nofx Guy 24th August 2001 21:47

how much can you guys/girls bench press/leg press?? i suck ass at bench so i'm not even gunna tell you what i can bench but i kick ass at leg press, i have done 220kg's thats about 550 lbs, i think thats pretty decent for a 15 year old. my calfs and quads are huge, hehe , not to brag or anything....

Aeroe 24th August 2001 22:14

don't know my legpress, think it's about 400-450lbs.
my bench is 215, planning on hitting 4 plates soon at 225lbs.
squat only 250lbs since i hate putting weight on my back.

i weigh 145lbs btw

InvisableMan 24th August 2001 22:22

i hike, play football and paintball all the time and lift weights every once and awhile

legpress, full stack (about 590 pounds) its from walking my fatass around school all day :P

bench about 230

squat 290 but i did do 310 one day :P

and all those kids still call me fatassbitch

Nofx Guy 24th August 2001 22:29

oh eyah squats around 250 but i have done 300, i hope this year i can do the stack for leg press, which is 250kgs, (625) i did it last year but not in corect position,

InvisableMan 24th August 2001 22:32

yeah the leg press at my middle school has a 590 leg press but the one at my high school has a 700 legpress MUAHAHA (cus i can do 590 pretty easy in correct position)

John M 25th August 2001 01:40

i used to wrestle.

a vertebra fractured.

now all i can do is walk or ride a bike cuz it didnt heal right.

InvisableMan 25th August 2001 01:52

dude that sux..

ElChevelle 25th August 2001 01:54

I envision the non-responders to this thread thinking:

I give my fingers a workout by posting as many useless comments as I can online......10 reps X 10 sets.:p

griffinn 25th August 2001 02:12

All the exercise I do is the weekly vacuuming and fortnightly mopping of my house's floor. Plus the occasional 100-metre dash to catch the bus. I know that measly amount of activity isn't enough, bout I don't have a lawn to mow.

s1138 25th August 2001 02:14

the hills around here suck....its all uphill. there aint no downhills worth the trip uphill

and you cant go back down the way you came..cause its usually a road you come up. (and georgia drivers are crazy:p)

papadoc 25th August 2001 02:25

Foosball, either 2 or 4 players.
And don't let anyone tell you that
foosball won't get your heart rate zoomin
and wear you out.
Whewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwsh..POP

griffinn 25th August 2001 02:38

No kiddin'. It really does.

Nofx Guy 25th August 2001 02:43

*sigh* i thought someone would catch onto that

i ate an energy bar at the starting of the race and it gave me the worse diarhea i've had in my life!

it slowed us down quite a bit, me having to go to the washroom every 30 minutes

Xerxes 25th August 2001 07:16

I live a very sedimentary lifestyle. Seriously. I abhor the notion of muscle movement. I don't excercise at all.

So I had this bright idea to set up my computer "Roman style."
It has proven a great success- I have my monitor set up on a chest
and some thick books so the level is a bit below my mattress. My CPU is right next to it. So now, since I use my computer for work, entertainment, and school- I lay down for hours and hours. And then i go to sleep and lay down for some more. I would say I am only standing up for less then a half hour a day!

The experiment has been a great success- when I get my own place,
I intend to get a low japanese style dining table and arrange four low couches around it so My guests and I can also enjoy dining "Roman Style".

Its comfortable, and luxurious! (Although once i fell asleep and rolled my head onto the keyboard, really screwed up my computer. ;)

griffinn 25th August 2001 07:33

s1138 25th August 2001 11:04

my computer is at most 4 feet from my bed..i get out of bed..get dressed and walk one step...and sit down...then at the end of the day i roll from my computer chair onto my bed:D

InvisableMan 25th August 2001 11:08

Rocker 25th August 2001 11:26

Hmm. That works too. But I did mean sedimentary, as in the type of rock that sits for eons, is also quite applicable to the situation;)

Bogger 25th August 2001 13:11

I used to play a good bit of soccer but I made bits of my knee and had to get it rebuilt. 3 years later and I'm still not able for a full game because of too many complications.
