I usually have a good time when I come to these forums. There are quite a few people I like to discuss and bicker back and forth with.
For the most part, its fun, the people are smart, and the people who do make good skins tend to post them here first (saving me from some of the most recent catagory).

I'm looking around and I don't see any idiots really. None of the forum regulars are morons. But a hell of a lot of them are bringing their problems here and taking them out on other people.

Everytime I complain about something (which is always skinner.exe skins), I apologize for the clog. I used the forum, on that issue, to blow off some steam. I blame the people in charge, whomever they be, for the problems with the database. And again I apologize for bringing it here and will take it to the bitchlist in the future.

I do not blame the reviewers. I do not point fingers at forum members. I most certainly do not insult their intelligence to any extent. The problem with this forum lately is the people in here who are making negative comments towards each other. And I'm not talking about Mr Bo.

In fact, as an example, Mr Bo has very much been a target of these comments. I don't care what he's done to you. It's no excuse to treat him so mean. If you think badly about someone, you're only lowering yourself to their level by continuously attacking them.

Its been recently mentioned in another post that I suck up to Mr Bo. I strongly disagree. I'm just trying to be friendly to a decent kid, who's never flamed anyone specifically without provocation. So what if he hates every skin. So what if he found Jax being negative in a similar way and made a long wordy post about it. So what if all the world is full of hypocrites. It kinda comes with being human.

Why are you people so miserable? Does he (and others in this forum) have that much control over your life? When you leave this forum does anything that goes on here really affect your life to the extent that you have to be so rude, obnoxious, and cruel?

Can I start a post and actually have a discussion within the confines of the post, without being accused of using it as "my own private chat room"?

Aren't we here to get to know one another? To learn from one another? To (skin) love one another?

I'd like to say for the record that, for the most part, a lot of the forum members I have in mind are coming around. They're being nicer. They're not being so negative. But there is still quite a few who have nothing better to do than to try and hurt other members.

As an example, I've seen at least one member (who I won't name), who has posted at least half a dozen times in the last few days with nothing but smart ass comments directed at another member.. They didn't even have anything productive (or non-productive for that matter) to say on the actual post.

So when you complain that your "Skin Love" forum seems to be severely lacking in the "love" department. Take a good look at the people around you and you'll see why.

Bullshit. Granted, he was strongly provoked in a few cases. But not in a great many. Get MJ to open up the archives for you sometime. (I have nothing against Bo, and I respect and appreciate his improvement in manner and helpfulness recently. But your statement is false.)

As you have said many times, no. If any of us are obnoxious or cruel, it is usually because of our attitudes in general, or specific attitudes toward one member.

If you are referring to the useless shit thread, you didn't start it. You merely aided the continuance of a circular and nonproductive thread over a mundane topic that has been discussed many times to no end both in this forum and web-wide.

You should also keep in mind that a lot of us have been here longer than you, and know one another quite well, regarding reading responses. The attitude here in Feb (when I came along officially) was much better than it was in May, or subsequent months. Most of us take what one another says with a great deal of salt. While I agree that there are a few jackasses in the forum, I get the feeling that they are the peeps you are defending. (No not Bo. Anymore. mostly. ;) :D )

I am in a swimmingly good mood (see the "this is what makes it worthwhile" thread) and therefore, with one notable exception who is not a forum regular, I am reasonably happy with everyone. As such, for what it's worth, I would like to set the record straight on how I PERSONALLY feel about Bo.

Yeah, he's a twit, a jerk, and an a**hole at times, but he's OUR twitty, jerkish a**hole. Like any family (and yeah, in a way we are a family here) we get ticked at one another and especially our PARENTS [nod to Jones and the other mods] wink [/nod to Jones and the other mods] but for me, no matter what I've said to/about him in the past, if someone from outside the forum came in here badmouthing him, I'd defend him to the hilt.

Some of the stunts Bo pulled when he first arrived forum side are a tad hard to swallow still, Forever. For the most part I do tend to ignore him, and he me. You will be glad to know I have removed him from my ignore list as he has been getting some positive looks from other forum members lately.

I see and understand your case and why you feel some are being mean and nasty, but lemme just say this ... make sure you really understand the boy behind the verse before you champion his case. If past history is any indicator, what we are seeing here is a HIGHLY modified Bo just chomping at the bit to hop up on his soap box and preach some inane (and insulting) topic to us over multiple threads crossposting and forking along the way. Without mod intervention, the Bo you see would still be just as jet charged as ever.

I have no immediate personal gripe with him for the most part, and as I said he is removed (temporarily) from my ignore list. And I hope 'n pray you are right ... maybe he has turned over a new leaf? Time will tell. :)

This was not a post about Bo. I wish I could tell you who it was about...

Just a side note, I may not have been here as long as some of you, but perhaps a fresh look at the issue was needed.

If you look at something long enough, you don't see what it really is anymore.. you see what you think you saw the first time you ever looked at it.

Try staring into the mirror as an example :)

Only time will tell if my message got through the one who it should have. The rest of you are damn "ok" in my book.

you don't have to open the archives I found my first post using the search command, and my first "stunt,"

I've pulled 2 major stunts and both of them were well over a month ago......

I actually had a lengthy conversation with ASD after the last time I posted in that thread. He's a very intelligent individual.

Be carefull what you wish for, a forum full of intellegent posters would make this a no fun place to be :D :p
