I know this isn't covered by the forum, but i couldn't think of where to put it...
 

Hey people. This is pretty wierd, but any help you can give will be much appreciated. I just downloaded a new skin from Winamp.com, and it doesn't appear in the skins list, but it's in the winamp/skins file. Its not a winzip, though. It's a special file, and i can't figure out how to install it. It needs to be opened with a program, and i don't know which one. Please help!!!!! This is the first time I've ever downloaded skins, so I'm really stumbling in the dark right now.
Any help, please,

hey iggy, check ur winamp prefs and make sure that the folder your skins is in is the folder the thing is set to, rename the skin to a .zip and make sure its not like a zip inside another or something, if this doesn't work say somtehing I'm the dumbest one here so someone else is bound to know..

btw theres about 2 other placess this could of went it..

you haven't attached the file, I assume it was too big. Please provide the full file name. (including extension)

BG...im betting it was a .wsz file, .wsz formats cannot be uploaded. it would make sense if they were, but this is winamp

Yes. But VB forums won't attach them. Just look under the "attach file" bit.
They are exactly the same file except for a name change. And it's that name change which stops them from being attached. I's just leave it as a zip and attach that if I wanted to give out a skin.

not letting us upload .wsz was the first thing that pissed me off about the new forums....

maybe you should download a version of winamp which supports wsz files.. , download it here
