My new skin

This is my newest skin (in fact my second one ever), and for those 41 people that did download my first skin, titled "gradient ash" you have my sincere thanks. But here's something for those BeOS lovers out there! ( By the way the blue color is not part of the actual skin, in fact it's my desktop color, the areas you see that are transparent )

Doggy Dog 28th August 2001 07:43

The skin is nice, but a bit ordinary. Could you please put a link to the other skin?

Gradient Ash

I recently updated it, so it's down until they get off of their lazy asses and republish it.

Way to go to endear yourself to the review team, all of who frequent this forum, in fact one of them is typing this now :)

Very good - skin... ;)

Never seen BeOS but I like the look of this skin - minmal with good colour scheme. Should get more than 47 downloads I think.:)

Not sure what kind of staff review you'll get now though. What would have been wrong with just asking how long republishing takes?:confused:

Nice skin, but I think an apology is in order, if you wish to be welcomed in to this forum. We're very sensitive, always Kleenex at hand :D

Namelessv1 28th August 2001 23:14

Dissin the reviewers is like shootin yourself in the foot, hand, and one other place.

Anubis2k 29th August 2001 02:24

Erm.

Perhaps I have taken for granted exactly what it is the winamp reviewers and staff do. And I will admit I was a tad bit out of line for saying that, so, you have my most sincere apology. I was a little cranky when I posted that.

Here it is if you want to see.

Gradient Ash deserves far more than 41 download, so does BeOs.

I like'em both

I have yet to venture into the world of region.txt so that's kinda like voodoo territory for me. Nice choice for a skin topic though. I like the transparencies so I might actually try that on my next one.

Anubis2k 29th August 2001 10:46

region.txt

This is taken from the region.txt that I used for the BeOS skin.
[Normal]
Numpoints = 4, 4
PointList = 191,0, 191,8, 275,8, 275,0, 0,8, 0,116, 275,116, 275,7

In order the (x,y) points go something like this:

PointList = top-left, bottom-left, top-right, bottom-right

This was the hardest thing to figure out next to figuring out where each point should be placed, all I had to do for those values was hold the mouse over that particular position in PSP7 and it'll tell you that particular pixel's x,y coordinates. Have fun.

Mr Jones 29th August 2001 10:47

Regions are indeed a bitch to master, thank god for alpha channels in WA3 :D
