short LOWLANDS report
 

Ok here is my report on my 3th "LOWLANDS" experience.

Thursday
20:00 departure from home
21:30 arival in Lelystad
here we had to try and get a pendelbus to get to the festival site, Most year I had to wait for over an hour before I was able to get on one but this time we departed from lelystad within 30 minutes. :)
22:15 arival at the entrance of the festival camping.
Here I had to change my ticket for a wristband. Again the time it took was less than previous years.
23:00 All ready to party. (unpacked, put up our tents, buy some cold beer)
03:45 time to sleep



Friday
The first official festival day.
09:30 Whhhhhaaaa hot, hot, hot. I woke op in my tent and it felt like I was in hell (or some other really weird and hot/burning place).
13:00 festival terrain opens
This day I have seen:

• HOOVERPHONIC - this is a band from belgium, I've seen them a few months ago on "Rock Werchter" aswell and the where way better there, but still very good.
• MUSE Was good, but it was to crowded so I left
• PRODIGY Very bad sound and not very good and it was to crowded. I know they can do better than what they did so I left.
• REEL BIG FISH Never heard of this band, and it was so cool. Very nice ska.
• THE F#UCKING DEWAELE BROS. these two belgian brothers know how to make a party with all styles of music.

03:30 bed time for me



saturday
10:00 Hot Hotter Hotest. (See friday)
12:30 to the festival terrain, the act's i've seen:

• DANNY MALANDO & NEW COOL COLLECTIVE some weird shit, don't remember very clearly.
• LAIS Nice accapella songs
• ZITA ZWOON Verry Kewl, but again not as good as they where on Rock Werchter
• and some other's that absolutely did not impress me so i forgot them.

Sunday
10:30 I'm awake, hmmm not as hot as yesterday, but still hot.
12:00 Time to go to the festival terrain:[list][*] STONE TEMPLE PILOTS good, but not to exeptional. and way to manny people.[*] TANZWUT Some German Industrial band, sounded a lot like RAMMSTEIN, very good show.[*] MO SOLID GOLD not special[*] THE HIVES Very cool show. (specially when the mic went through the air :D)[list]
While the hives where playing an enormous thunderstorm started. The hives had to stop their performance. That was not very cool, but the rain was :).

• MANU CHAO Very good performance.

Monday
10:00 waking up, Packing and leaving.
15:00 Home again

kewl SS!! Glad you had fun.... I was suprised how many bandnames I recognized. Glad to have you back in Skin Love.

I could post the whole list that was on lowlands, but that would take quite long to type. (+/- 150 performances). And I bed you'd find more well known artists.

did you enjoy live? i heard of him that prodigy really sucked dick

I've seen live 3 times in the past three years. I don't like them very much anymore, because each show looks like the other. And The shows are not very spectacular.

oh and about the prodigy, I allready said that they dissapointed me. That would mean something like "They S#cked"

Do you mean you think the prodigy suck, or that their performance did?

The prodigy on Rules, they made some really good and very experimental music. They can perform very good, but this time they where worthless. Bad sound, bad attitude and bad everything. I think they just did not like it that the where not "THE" band, but just a band.
