Ok, I'm workin on a new skin (that's the part you know)

It's far away from being ready. Any comments? What do you think about the playlist buttoz? I changed them for about 100 times and I'm still not sure.

one thing that caught my eye.. the buttons on eqsliders, they seem one pixel too big to the left

Very cool skin - simple but works well. Really good colour (kind of 'old gold'). I like the EQ for the cool cartoon animal and the first interesting EQ graph I've seen (the way you've done it makes it look like it's fading at the edges so it matches the rest of the skin well). The playlist buttons are good too.

I really like the cartoon in the EQ. Did you draw that yourself?

Maybe you could do the PL stacks with a line up the middle like the EQ bars. Then have a larger version of the EQ bar's buttons for each of the options. (Have the word in the middle of a square shape).

Whatever you do, I think it would look nice as a/some thin line(s). Becuase that big solid block of orange doesn't seem to go. It sticks out a little IMHOhttp://www.mear.fsnet.co.uk/grinblue.gif.

that's a very good idea Lucid! and the "countdown" bar didn't look right.. I' try to insert some lines... I think that happend coz I developed each window seperately :D and originally it was supposed to have the same color gradient like the rest. Unfortunately the playlist titlebar is tiled...it looked awful :eek:




Anyway, I didn't draw the animal myself :( ;), I got it from an animals font, I think I downloaded it @ 1001fonts, but I'm not sure. It's sweet, isn't it? :D And I used the antialising option in PSP (text tool), that's all.



BTW I don't really like graveyards at night (it's 22:38 here), I feel like a character of Stephen King's "Salem's Lot" then. :D

I don't have any things to say bout your skin that hasn't been said before, exept WOW that goat is cool! It sort of gives the whole skin an identity. Nice work!
Lynx, have you tried to throw small stones to the bats? They think it's insects, and chases it. Keeps me entertained for hours. :)

havent tried that assja,. but theyre always with 2 chasing eachother and stuff.. is pretty cool to look at.. and they fly over my head just 10 cm [4 inches]

Yep, PL stacks need a different look. Something along Lucid's suggestion would be cool.

Also, that critter is so distinctive (as the comments have made clear) that perhaps you should him carry a variation of it over into the other windows, to tie them all together. Make your skin really stand out in people's minds.

After all the eye candy skins, it's nice to have a quality skin that tones everything down a little. I love the character in the EQ along with Lucid. It adds a little but doesn't take away from the quiet feeling of the skin. This is a skin I could mellow out to.

Side Topic: I have to make a custom Tori Amos skin for a close friend so any help in good links for photos would be greatly appreciated. I know I'm tagging onto a topic but I didn't think this was worthy of a seperate thread. :D

That was exactly what I was looking for. Google and Altavista only takes you so far until you go blind. I'll keep you updated as well as the forum because I'm sure that I'll need the help of the people in here completing it. You get the creme of the crop though.:D

I was thinking of themeing it off off of Cool On Your Island since I'm Hawaii and all. It's seems appropriate so I can improvise with a little local art to highlight the skin.:cool:

I tried all differend kinds of stripes, me thinks this looks best. The labels show on mouseover :D I also changed the slider and tried to finish the windowshades but failed :(
