mmkay, thats it im whipping out blender, milkshape, photoshop, psp 8.0.1, and paint and spending a few hours on a sig.(i know sarge is gonna make one like a full body smiliey from the head i have, ill use that after this one sarge)

Which programs do you people use to make these cool sigs?
Is there a way to make my sig transparent?

Shyam, post a bitmap of it and I can do transparency and save it as a GIF. JPG doesn't support transparency and the compression relics in JPEG images don't make them easy to convert and do transparency on anyway.

What software fo you all use for your sigs?
Will Paint Shop Pro 7 be alright??

I tried this and it still wont show. Am i doing it wrong. I have my site at geocities and this is what i have. If its wrong, someone correct me.

geocities doesnt allow you to link to the pic thus the evil little red x. get a provider like f2s or homestead <--- the one i use (by referal of the good people at these forums.)

Paintshop Pro 7 will do fine. I personally use Adobe Photoshop 6 and Fireworks 4.

I use Photoshop 5 LE, and when I had an animated sig before, I used GIF Movie Gear to make it.

31337-2k2 had made the cool sig. for me.

sorry to continually bug you all but my sig still wont show. My homestead registration wouldnt go through so i tried 50megs.com as some others but it still wont work. heres what i have

- the recent talk of optimizing pics made me dig in my software and dust off photo deluxe (i got it free with my printer :p) messing with it i found a means of making gifs ::with transparences::. therefore, i decided to make some sigs in celebration. well under the limit i might add.

- whoa peng i was about to put up a sig with the same idea. perhaps the radiation made you psychic as well.

- i tried to make duane a sig using variantions of "-dj" but nothing came out good. do you have any suggestions as to what you want as a sig?

U're kinda lucky... my Photoshop 5 LE couldn't open it properly, but I realized that IrfanView could, so I saved from there to a bitmap, opened than in Photoshop, and exported to GIF...

You are all so awesome! I really admire your artistic talents. I cant draw a straight line with a ruler. The "artistic" part of my brain must not have been formed correctly............

@ethan: if your saying that in reference to my recent serial posts i did it that way because it only lets you put in one attatchment per post. and if i used a zip file people would be alot less likely to look at it.
