Yep, Xara 3d is used for making 3D text. However, apparently it can load ad export-to-BMP or export-to-GIF files from other Xara 3D image software.

So in other words you could make a 3D design of a car on your Comp in some Xara prog, then bring it to your friends place, load it in Xara 3D and print it out if your own printer isn't working...

I'm not sure what l33t is but I made my sig in photoshop in about an hour. Did I do a good job?

sure thats a pretty cool sig, i think you might want to make it a little smaller though. it just seems like it would be better smaller.
