Whats the frequency range of the Equilizer?
I found an eq setting for a song, and I was
trying to use GoldWave's Parametric EQ to match winamps, but they did not sound the same. -Thanks -Glen C. |
Hmmm, actually, the built-in equalizer of Winamp has a frequency - range from 60hz up to 16khz, split up into 10 different bands, as you can see when you have a look at the EQ window :).
I don't know what's wrong at all, the Winamp EQ is pretty accurate. You might want to try Shibatch SuperEQ, which is a 3rd party DSP plugin for Winamp, offering a much better and more accurate EQ than the internal Winamp one. See if that plugin fixes your issue. Peace. |
Let me try to explain more clearly...
Yes I see the EQ frequecies in winamps window
and how much I've changed the amplitude. But what is the frequency "width/range" of the center frequecy? example: Does the 6K affect frequecies from 4.5K-9K? The 6K is between the 3K and 12K, and I assume affects the 3K-12K frequecy range, centering on 6K? -Hope that helps. -Thanks allot. -Glen C. |
Uh, D'OH, that's what you meant by this, silly me .
Actually, I can't answer your question at all, as I never saw the frequency range of each EQ slider documented anywhere ... :(. Referring to your example on how the frequency sliders center, I would agree :D. I guess it's a smooth course between each slider, just centering / emphasizing their referring number (like 6khz). Did you try Shibatch's SuperEQ plugin yet? Yet I don't think the frequency range of that EQ plugin is documented either ... Maybe DJ Egg or somebody else can help? What about you search the forums first ;)? Peace. |
