WMA Output Configuration
I have no idea what that means, but the window for WMA Output Configuration pops up whenever I try to play anything on Winamp.
Let me go back to the beginning. A week or so ago, Winamp stopped playing sound, just like that. It had been working fine before. The counter would still work, the volume (on Winamp) would be up, and sound on other programs worked as well. I even d/led Media Player and the sound worked just fine. However, it pales in comparison to Winamp, and I wanted to resume using it as soon as possible. So I re-downloaded and reinstalled Winamp 2.67, and now instead of just getting no sound, I get the WMA Output Configuration window. It has a space for an "Output directory", which is blank. At first I thought this might be the solution, but those I have asked about it also say that that space is blank on theirs, which work fine. So basically, I am up a certain creek without a paddle. I have an Aptiva E Series 275, with an AMD K6-2 processor, 64MB of ram, 10 gig...I don't think it's the computer, but something within the program itself...Please help! |
then stop using WMA output:
Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Plug-ins > Output > Select "Nullsoft waveOut plug-in v2.0" |
Done, still no sound.
