OK, I just downloaded winamp today and I am getting an error message whenever I attempt to play a song, or the demo. The message is:

MMSYSTEM020 the driver did not generate a valid OPEN callback.

I have absolutely no clue on how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated,

re-boot
Try direct sound: Preferences (Ctrl-P) > Plug-ins > Output > Select "Nullsoft DirectSound plug-in v2.0"
