I have a slightly unusual problem.
 

I tried to publish my new skin, Neon Nightmare but I'm getting the message "Component already exists in our database."

Ok now I understand this happens when I have published a skin with the same name prior to this... but I haven't done so in this case.

This is the first time I've attempted to upload this skin.

Anyone know whats up with that? <---will continue trying in the meantime.

upon adding an underscore (Neon_Nightmare) I was able to upload, but my concern remains. Is it possible that someone else uploaded an amp with the same name and its being crossed with my area?
Mods? anyone?

The name was taken, and by a crappy skin that has nothing to do with neon.

Anyone noticed Thomas Van Cleef and something Magnuson going around giving out zero and 3 stars.

I personally think the 3 stars are just to throw it off, but the one guy only seems to say "gut ya" and the other one always says "puke bad"

he's gotten quite a few of my skins (both names).. its quite depressing

Both names were suggested in the last round of user review purges, possiable they have come back to start over.

The van cleef one, wasn't so bad, he gave a varied set of reviews all accross the board, the other one, had a couple of accounts, one giving shit ratings, one giving good, think the shit one was zapped.

People will always zap your skins, no way around that, all we can do is keep zapping back and hope they get bored at some point.

That Andy Magnuson guy is crackheaded. Even the skins of mine he liked (quote: nice/good), he gave zero stars.

You're right though, can't please all of the people at once.
I also solved my skinner.exe irk... I took someone's advice and stopped looking at the most recent catagory ;)
