Just heard that the White house is being evacuated and also the Pentagon.
Manhatten has been sealed off.

Few seconds ago they also say there has been an explosion at the Pentagon

I just saw that the Pentagon was hit by a helicopter or some small plane of sorts.

White House also just got a threat by terrorists.

I was just at the TV.

Two planes with explosives on board were flown into the WTC, one per tower. One tower is down, one tower is seriously on fire.

Dust and smoke covers around 80% of manhatten, which has been closed.

A flying vehicle (Some report plane, others helicopter) has also attacked the pentagon, serious damage here also, evacuated.

Bomb threats have had the WH evacuated and a search is in progress by the bomb squad.

40,000 people work at the WTC, they didn't have time to fully evacuate before the collapse.

Much sympathy and thought for the people and families of the people near/involved in it.

Most worryingly, Palestinian terrorist groups are claiming responsibility.

Both towers are 'down' but according to one site I've read, it's the top that's fallen off the 2nd tower, not the whole tower.

It may sound verry stupid or overreacting, but what about a war?

I saw the second tower collapse on my TV. It's not just the top, it's about the upper 2/3 of the building!

Is this really the time to be talking like that? No doubt it's such a nationalist attitude that causes people to do such acts of terrorism.

A woman and her daughter and a friend were about to go into the world trade center but the daughter said she wasnted to get a bite to eat first.

If they hadn't stopped for that sandwich they would have been inside the Trade Center when it happened.

I'm sure if it happened to Canada or any other huge country their military would do the same, and hey, we would probly help out! Terrorism is totally not tolerable to this country.

Neo: Exactly that kind of attitdue escalates. However, the european fear is that is exactly the kind of attitude Bush seems to have.

It will be interesting to see if anyone claims responsibility. Who ever it is is likely to end up having the US declare war on them, which clearly is not going to be a good thing, very many people are worried.

The problem with the situation is that anyone sees a low flying plane, any car crash, ANYTHING will start a new rumour.

Some may be b/s some may be true. It's all information, and some hysteria.

We all have our fucking TV's turned on. Rumours become more believeable when people mindlessly repeat them.
