DO NOT DOWNLOAD ANY FILE ATTACHMENTS THAT YOU MIGHT RECEIVE FROM MY SCREEN NAME.

Today I discovered a virus on my computer. Some kind of trojan called "widget" or "QE Trojan".
I don't know if I cleaned it out or not, I thought I did but someone sent me an email saying they got an email from me with an attachment. If you have received a file from me, and you opened it, please send an email to all of the people on your contact list and let them know about this virus, then update your virus software and scan your hard drive right away!

I NEVER send out file attachments without a request. Absolutely NEVER. So do NOT download any weird file attachments that you might receive from Forevever@aol.com. In fact, if you do get an email with a file attachment from me, please DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY and let me know about it. If you get any weird emails from me without a file attachment, let me know about that too.

Be careful, cause I never download file attachments. This means I got the virus from going to a website.

I'm really sorry for any confusion in this and if you have any questions, please let me know. I'm posting this here because I'm not sure how the virus is getting its information. The person who told me about the email wasn't someone I know.

This has happened to me too. Not the exact same virus, but a couple of months ago I guess I was just surfing the web and then shut down my computer. The next day when I turned it on mIRC was on my computer and it was in Spanish. It took me a month to figure out what it was and how it got there. I don't know specifically where it came from, but according to McAfee's website, it could've come from any website or e-mail as a trojan horse type virus. This worm starts mIRC on startup and then bogs down their servers and makes it really annoying everytime I turn my computer on.
