Q about playlist order
Hi:
I've been a Winamp user for about an year now. I've got the latest version running on WinNT 4.51. I rarely use any of the playlist features. Today, I decided to create a playlist of my favorite songs. Since then, its been a real nightmare for me. I used the "Add File" option to add songs to my playlist and then saved it. When I press the "Play" button, it started playing the first song on the playlist, as I expected. However, after that, it seems to pick up songs almost at random. When I press the "Next track" button, it never goes to the next song on the playlist. I tried the options to order the songs by title, etc. Nothing works. I tried re-loading the playlist. No use. Could somebody please, please help me ASAP and let me know what determines the order in which songs are played from a playlist? And, how do I get Winamp to play the songs in my playlist in the order they're shown? This is not too much to ask, is it? I swear that, if I don't get an answer very soon, I'm moving on to another mp3 player, and strongly discouraging all my acquaintances from using Winamp. Thanx in advance, An extremely disgruntled and frustrated user |
Did you hit that nice big button in your Main Window that says "Shuffle"? :D Make sure that one isn't checked.

Thanx, that did the trick!
The problem was with the skin I was using....the color of the "Shuffle" button made it very unclear if it was checked or not. As it turned out, it WAS checked and everything's A-OK, after I un-checked it. Thanx again, A "happy-again" user.. |
