Skinned Cursors & Visual Plugins
 

:confused: Ive got no idea about this one. I cant use my skinned cursors without the song slowing down drastically, same thing with my plugins.
I got my output on direct but I just have no idea.
could it be a lack of a 3DFX card?
any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Well, how many MB is your video card?

I got a 4MB video card. yeah it COULD be better
I got an AWE64 sound card too(if you needed to know)

yeah, you shouldn't be suing skined cursors or Visualizations. But update directX and your video card drivers

As long as that card is AGP as opposed to PCI, it shouldn't be too hard to procure yourself a better one without having to really look around. Try and get yourself something very basic... 16MB should do fine, 32 if your machine can actually fully take advantage of that much VRAM.

FYI, I can use skinned cursors and visualization plugins perfectly ok on an old crappy Pentium 133 with a 1MB 2D Trident Graphics card. Most plugins don't require a 3d card, they use DirectX drivers or (in some rare cases) openGL. Naturally, I have to use the non-mmx avs.

Granted, they're not as fast as they are on my main pc, but they still work ok.

What make & model is the video card? (System -> Device Manager -> Display Adapter)

What's your Windows OS ?

Try upgrade your video drivers

Run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (start -> run -> dxdiag)
Version number c/o general tab
Run the various tests in the other tabs.
Any problems listed anyehere?
