windows services
Anyone know how to run a program as a service? Or how to run a program so that it doesn't interfere with say, a 3D game?
I am using a winamp plugin called Clever to control winamp through command line switches so i can program the extra buttons on my keyboard to control winamp (EX: i use the line "C:\clever.exe next" to go to the next track) but a black command prompt box flashes up whenever i use these buttons. I can overlook this slight annoyance, but if I'm playing a game and i try to use these buttons, they work, but the game crashes (or at least minimizes). This is a big problem since the main thing i want to use these buttons for is gaming. Anyone know a solution, like a command that runs a program as a service or runs it minimized or whatever will work? |
thanks a LOT.
I wasn't even using shotcuts before, but i just made a shotcut for each function i wanted and pointed the program to each function for each key. It works quite well know, thanks a lot. I should have thought of that before, i knew that feature exsisted. Again, thanks for the idea. |
