Different button areas?

I havn't seen this subject broached anywhere else, that or I'm blind...

I want to put buttons in obscure, or even obscene places on the winamp browser...Can this be done or is the program built for only ertain areas to work like buttons?

Also, I've seen track progress-bars (track time) that display percentages instead of numerical values...I'm thinking. Ultra simple pie graph. A little circle that slowly fills up as the track goes on, right in the middle of the main browser. (I say browser meaning the winamp interface, don't know what else to call it.) Again, can this area of the browser be used for other purposes than the volume/balance controls? Or am I getting in over my indignant little head?

Winamp 2x skinning isn't freeform that means buttons have to be where they are always supposed to be, Winamp 3x will have freeform skinning.

The alpha is out, just ask in the Winamp 3 forum, or search it a bit and spare a post :D.
