what is with the skin submission????

i know it takes awhile for skins to be posted, ive gotten used to it. but i submitted 2 skins in early august, & theyre still not up. but why have i seen other skins posted that have september dates in their readmes?? whats up with that? someone said winamps having database problems...have my skins been lost>? so should i resubmit them?

The database has been very sick over the last month or so, I'm not convinced its fully working now.

If your skins are still in your account they will be reviewed in time, the september dates ones you've seen are either, site sponsored skins, which always get posted quicker, or skin that have been picked at random by the reviewers to test the system out.

ok ...now the skin i submitted 2 weeks ago has been posted, but not the ones from august...should i still wait?

Mr Jones 24th October 2001 15:26

It has come to the attention of the skin review team that due to a problem in the skin database , skins submitted during the month of August 2001 may be "stuck" in the database , thus preventing them from getting reviewed in the normal fashion.

If you feel you have a skin that was submitted during this time period, please post the skin ID number within this thread, a member of the review team will check this thread on a daily basis and if the skin ID is from the August time period they will arrange for it to be reviewed.

If you are unsure as to how to find the skin ID number, go into your developers account, on the line that shows your unpublished skin, move your cursor over the "EDIT" line and look at the status bar on your web browser, within it you should see the five digit skin ID number., usualy something starting "7"

my sk ins that are stuck.....have the ids of ....componentId=77164
componentId=76602

.... thank you!!!!!!!

This skin's ID starts with a 7. I can't remember exactly when I posted it but reading above makes sense why it's taking a very long time.

Could someone let me know if this will be checked out or should I delete and repost it??
