I once typed http://winamp.de :D and believe it or not, it's a site...that must happen more often :D

yeah gimp.com it say "waiting for the system to be fixed" or "upgraded" or something (can't remember, too lazy to check).

I did go to gimp.org... didn't seem worth the download to me. Based on the screen shots, I can pretty much do everything with PSP thats done with Gimp, and there's like all these updates and patches.. like I say, I'm too lazy.

those two links are for windows users

gimp can do pretty much the same as photoshop except for vectors, but the user interface (gtk) is different and not common for windows apps (it makes eg. extensive use of rightclick menus instead of toolbars)

the windows version wasn't updated for some time now

what I like about gimp is script-fu, you can automatize difficult tasks, i think adobe has something similar but psp does not...But the interface is a mess, yes
