feel like a loser.....i can't install skin!?!?!
 

hi...

downloaded a new skin in .zip format

unzipped all files in C:\programfiles\winamp\skins dir

NOTHING HAPPENS!?!?!?!

please please help....:(

just found more skins in .wsz format.

clicked em....they downloaded....and still nothing!

Hmm, make sure that Winamp knows where your Skin directory is :). The default directory for skins is: C:\Program Files\Winamp\Skins. In order to check this, do the following: Open up Winamp first, then press both CTRL-P keys to make the Winamp preferences window to appear. There you go to the Skins - tab and click on the button at the bottom that says Set skins directory.... Now point to the desired directory where you have all your skins inside.

That should do the trick. Winamp should flawlessly load the skins. If it does not work, I would say the skins are corrupt (bad CRC, broken download, etc.), try re-downloading them in that case.

....and there's no need to unzip .zip or .wsz skins.
Just place them in the winamp\skins dir
Next time you open Winamp, the skin browser/list should be refreshed.

btw, you do have one of the newer versions of winamp, yes? (v2.77 recommended)

You extracted the files to the skins directory? Bleh. You might want to go in there and delete everything but WSZ and ZIP files and folders.
