I found out from the other forums that I gotta go in my properties and change it to direct sound. But after doing this it still doesn't work. Plus everyone said they got it to work in media player easily. My rear channels don't work in that either. The fronts do, and so does the center channel output when I play a song. Could my rears be blown somehow?? Anyway to check for sure? Thanks.

is there some kind of "static" test (if you've heard one you'll know what i mean! :) ) that comes with your soundcard, or speakers or something?

Well it's a SB Live x-gamer so I assume it should have something, but I didn't find anything on the applications cd. The speakers are hooked up to 2 external amps, so theres no tests for them...

Unforetunately that didn't work either. Is it possible I installed the drivers incorrectly somehow? I just don't know how my center channel would work, but not my rears.

try re-installing the drivers
and update to directx 8.0
