Cant save output on harddisk....
I have tried to get WinAmp to save a file on harddisk, using the Nullsoft Diskwriter Plugin.
I have chosen a directory in which to put the files, and have tried to follow all the directions given elsewhere on this site, but, whatever I do, WinAmp jsut plays the song normally without writing anything to the disk, and without displaying any error messages. I'm using ver. 2.77 on a Windows 2000 machine. Please help me! Thanks.... |
you have to highlight a output plugin in preferences to use it
you have to check the 'convert to format' box what's the input format (eg. wma can't be converted)? |
What file? Is it CD Audio, WMA, or some secure RealPlayer format by any chance?
Diskwriter won't work with these. It'll write MP3's and other formats to WAV, but not those mentioned above. For CDA you'll need to replace the default cd input plugin with CDReader For WMA, you'll need to replace the current in_wm.dll with this old version. For RealFormats (RM, RMX, RAM, etc) . . . errmm . . . good luck. |
The "convert to format" box is checked...
And, those I have tried to convert are: CD Audio to Wave using NullSoft Disk Writer Plugin v. 2.0 CD Audio to MP3 using NullSoft MP3 Output Plug-In v. 1.1 |
I'm now using CDReader and it works fine, thank you very much for the tip!
One more question though...is there any way to speed up the proces, so that it doesnt take 3 minutes to convert a 3 minute song? |
use http://cdex.n3.net/ to rip your cds
