all they do is downrate pic skins. if u check their profiles and look at their skins, they suck ass compared to any skin made inside this forum. they're all messed up poets with nothing better to do than fuck up ppl's skins

try 1001, although I think its strange now that they upload to their site and post immediately now... I've only had one skin get butchered at 1001 (not a pic skin) and I promptly removed it :X

I don't dismiss pic skins, in fact, I really like this one. It is a pretty basic skin, but its not a skinner.exe and you have excellent image placement <----likes to work around the elements instead of incorporating them into the design. <-----not going anywhere near devart :p

You can upload immediately only if the skin has already been accepted, ie if it's an update...That's what I thought...

I haven't submitted there for a long time...coz I'm to lazy to do the screencaps (call me crazy...:D).

BTW another point against devart: it's much slower :D

I like DevArt. They have a great wallpaper database. And people always submit skins there first (or they're published there first at least). Granted the peeps can be harsh, but this is the Internet. Expect it. Ignore them. Turn up your music. :D

Nope, just 2 weeks ago (or about that) I submitted 3 different skins, all got downloads and/or comments within the same 24 hours. The only real thing I hate about 1001 is that you have to provide the screenshots. Although it has a good side, you can make sure the compression isn't gimping out the image like what happens at winamp on screenshots, the bad side of actually having to do it is a pain in the butt.

I like Nelly, 'cause he's from Missouri like me. As far as the skin goes, I like it overall. I don't normally like pic skins, but you have put some extra work into this one, not just thrown it into skinner.exe. Very nice. :)

Oh and the reason privately run skin sites like deviant and WinCustomize don't like pic skins is that the pics used may be copyrighted. They don't have the money to take on bigass corporate lawyers. I used to mod at skinz.org, and I know this was an issue with them as well. Hope that explains it for you. :)
