I want an MP3 encodet that supports CD-text
 

Hi there!!

I would like a (preferably free) MP3 encoder that supports CD-text
ie I put a CD in my drive & the encoder displays the CD-text info on the disc - ready to transfer it to the MP3s - without having to rip from CD first using something like Nero etc.

Can anyone help me?????

to my understanding, what you are looking for is an application that fills in id3 tags for you?

use CDex, it has cddb support

I know Nero and Roxio EZ CD Creator 5 can make MP3 cds. I think they both also have the option of burning the cd with cd-text. As for the free part, you could get the "free" version if you know what I mean ;), or you could dish out $50 for the software. Up to you and I hope i was of some help.:D

As before:

I'd like an MP3 encoder which accepts CD-text - I put a CD into my drive (which does read CD-text) & out pops an MP3 onto my hard drive (without an intermediate .wav file etc).

Anyone know any programs that can do this?
