A little help?
 

Heres a sample of the project im currently working on, i've decided to new a 'non-pic' skin as most of you seem to hate em :P its the first one i've ever done.
Any ideas on how to make it better? its far from unfinished but I just wanted a little feedback from you guys. :P thx

ooh looks very nice. might want some less huge amount of black glow around your buttons tho

This is a pic-skin so it might not be to everyones taste but I could use a little feedback on this one too :P

Both look great, especially Zelda Amp. Is Zelda Amp just a working title? I think you should at least drop the "amp" bit because it sounds like Aardvark which is annoying!

Yea, i'd say its a workin title (not very good with names :P)
and I agree, the 'Amp' bit is a little annoying...any ideas for a new name?

Which Zelda is it based on? Perhaps Tri-Star or something game-related (PS: Never played it but I seem to recall something about triangles in it:D)

mmm, I like the white one. Especially the newer screen. You might wanna change the eject button on the zelda one. It looks out of place to me. Nice work:)

I,ve done quite a bit more to 'the skin with no name' lol, although its changed a lot...lol maybe none of you will like it anymore :P
I thought it needed toning down so thats just what i did

I know how you feel about the posting. I recently went through something similar and I wish I had more feedback because I hated the end result.
Regardless, in the last 48 hours I've come to my own realization about lack of posts to my threads (which you should not be complaining about, you got tons of replies in this thread).
Anyway, I started this job yesterday morning, first thing I got up and was completely exhausted. Came here and wanted to comment but even though I'd had 2 cups of coffee already and about 5 cigs in less than half an hour, I was still not functioning enough to form a coherant (sp?) thought. So I closed the window and figured I'd try again after work. Yeah so, day goes by and I'm feeling pretty ok, and as soon as I got home, I realized how exhausted I was. Again, popping in here for only a moment, and doing my best to form a thoughtful response... failed miserably. So I went to bed early, got a good 9 hours of sleep, woke up this morning (still tired) but true to my word (promised Jax I'd look at his new skin), spent half an hour here and managed to get out one post. Tonight, again, I'm exhausted.. but I'm also in pain (freaking rain/arthritis), so I can't sleep and am forced to find some online entertainment. Which is the ONLY reason you're getting this response.

Point being, some of us are working, in school, just plain too tired, or in pain? to give you a comment on every single update.

Good one by the way. But I said that already. I have no suggestions, keep going, and relax, we'll get to you and if we don't, use that as motivation to do something even more fabulous next time that has no chance of escaping our attention. Even in a lethargic state.

P.S. I thought you were working on the white one. This doesn't look anything like the white one. They look like two totally different skins. I still like the white one better, but the new one isn't bad either.

hey dumbass, no one here has any obligation to help you with your skin, yet they have. so maybe they dont want to comment on every little change you make. so what? that doesn't give you the right to start bitching. you're are not god's gift to winamp.com and no one has to help you. make your skin on your own

I like your skin, anyways I also think it's missing something, in my opinion you should place a logo between the eq bars and do something about the main titlebar...it's looking a bit empty :)

yes i am sorry for my outburst. i was in "an altered state" at the time, if you know what i mean:D i still dont like the way this guy got mad that no one would respond to his thread when he already had gotten about 15 responses.

i apologize, but remind cazuis that no one has to help him, and when he gets help, he should be thankful, not upset that he didn't get more help.

its simple, your right, nobody does have to help anyone else, but people do not come to a forum unless they want help over something, but in the end, those that stay help others in kind for them helping in the past, thats the idea of community, , if the designer chooses to take the comments offencivly and get angry, then he or she will suffer the consequences when it comes to needed others help in the future, as nobody is willing to help people when they fear there comments are not taken constructively, the way i see it, you can either say its good, and let the designer know hes doing a great job, or be "Constructively" critical of the deisgn, and suggest ways in which it may be improved, however, at the end of the day, its the designer whome makes the descisions, the rest of us act meerly as quides, arguing about it will no make the skin get finnished any quicker, and neather will telling the designer the work is of low standard (jasonl) in a way which makes the designer upset to the point of ditching the skin.

take heed of mr Jones's warning, and if he ban's you, please dont come back crying about how it was an 'injust' ban, as nobody is banned without reason, if a reason exists enough that you be banned, accept it and dissapear into the vast sea's of the surfable net

Well thanks for the crticism, I agree with you about the eq...i was tryin the other day to find a pic of some cogs or somethin like that to put in the space between the eqbars, try an make em look as if they wehere 'inside' the skin (if you know what I mean :P) anyway, i looked around for a while but couldn't find any, any of you got a link to a good clipart site? if not i'll jus have to think of somethin else..

Rusty. It seems that a lot of people have been using tis effect to make their skins look better - including me.

Soon, although it has made your skin kick-ass now, people may get bored of it. Rust is a cool effect, and there's always to much of a good thing. Personally, I think you should make your skin really stylish, like futuristic or something.

But then again, no-one takes me seriously anymore, so I dont blame you for ignoring my raving.

oh well....
 

well, im sort of coming to the desicion to drop this skin and start working on another, basically because im stuck on how to improve it, and it looks pretty boring (in my opinion) so, unless I can think of some ideas pretty fast...its gone, although I wish it wasn't lol
