winamp and XP

 Will Winamp Run in Windows XP?

Bizznatch 26th October 2001 03:30

Yes.

I'm playing it in WinXP right now as I type this! :)

I seem to be having a problem. I installed XP today, and winamp don't run anymore.
A window comes up, and in it's titlebar it says:

Nullsoft Waveout plug-in v2.3

and in the box it says:

A device ID has been used that is out of range for your system

Can anybody help me with this?

Update the drivers for your sound card.

Go to the manufacturer's website for the sound card you own and install the new drivers, if that doesnt work, then the manufacterer for you sound card sucks or is too damn lazy to make your sound card compatible with WinXP.

If that's the case, get a new sound card! :D
