Slow reading file ID3 tags

Hi :),
I'm using WinAmp very long time  so now i have a huge collection of MP3's :D. From WinAmp version 2.7 it takes very long time :o to read MP3's ID3v2 tags in playlist :( (approximately 1 second per file  ). I've found on WinAmp Heaven an older version (2.666  ) that also supports ID3v2 tags but the reading is so fast (I would say that faster is only Neo :D. I tried to put old In_mp3.dll to the new version but withou effect :(. So I suppose that the difference is somewhere else .
My first question is: Why does it take so long to read tags ???
My second question is: Why programmers haven't put into WinAmp a checkbox so a user can choose if he wants or not readin/using ID3v2 tags. (I found some similar questions in this forum from another users questioning the same thing and the only one answer was that they should change the Read Titles option from LOAD to PLAY    )??? But that's not the solution.

To disable ID3v2 use, hold Ctrl and press P, go to the Input Plug-ins section, click Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder, click Configure, and under the Title tabe you can make it not read ID3 tags at all. Then, in the Title Formatting (default) box, just enter %7 so it'll show the filename of your MP3's by default but without the ".MP3" at the end.

That's as good as it can get right now as far as not reading tags goes :(

However, instead, if you go to the Options section of Winamp's preferences, you can tell it to read titles on either load, display, or play. Most likely you have it set to Display, so try setting it to Load, and if it's still ungodly slow, then set it to Play.

I know, I've tried it ... without effect. :( And i want to use only ID3v1 tags (who uses ID3v2 tags ??? for what ??? For a song description is the 1st version enough :) )

do you have any third-party MP3 plugins installed (eg. MAD, mp3pro, etc) ?

Clean instalation .. of course (I've measured the reading of file tags and it is not 1 second, but only  half second ;)

I find ID3v2 very useful bcause you can put anything you want in the Genre field.

For instance, I can label my Rammstein songs "German Industrial / Metal" which I can't do with ID3v1.

Yes, of course  . And how many time you use it  ??? You can write it also in the comment field, hmm  ??? I'm looking for a solution in a technical support forum, but at this time noone gave me any solution :( .
