Converting midi files to wav output

In the past I have successfully converted mid files to wav output using the diskwriter output plugins. Now with winamp ver. 2.77 I can no longer convert them. When I play a .mid file on winamp the output comes through my speakers normally, but nothing gets written to disk. I have configured the output plugin with the correct filename and directory and format for the wav file but nothing shows.

I am able to convert mp3's to wavs with no problem.:)

Does anyone have any info? useful hints.

I have a micron 733Mhz, with an Aureal Vortex sound card.

Hold Ctrl and press P, go to the Input Plug-ins section, select the MIDI plug-in, and click the Configure button. Somewhere in the configuration you can set it to "use Winamp's output system" or something like that.
