Slow Mouse action
When I play CDs from my cd player ( as oppose to Mp3's form my Hard drive) my cursor slows to a crawl!
Is there anything I can do to fix that? TIA |
Hmm... that's not normal...
Update the drivers for your CD-ROM. |
Hmmm, usually, CD-ROM drives do not need any 3rd party driver under Windows 9x/ME/NT4/2000/XP (anything I left out? ;) ), as Windows uses its generalized driver for CD-ROM drives.
It's pretty much unlikely that the reason for your problem is your CD-ROM drive ... But anyways, can you please provide additional info about your CD-ROM drive, such as brand & type? Moreover, I would like to know what kind of CD-player software are you using when your problem occurs? Try updating your mouse driver software, especially if you have a Microsoft or Logitech mouse. Also check if there are no existing device / resource conflicts in the Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager. We'll need more info ... :). Peace. |
If it's not the mouse or cd-rom drivers, then more than likely it'll be the soundcard or videocard drivers to blame, probably connected to the "sample input from soundcard" setting in the CD Input plugin config.
Maybe try replacing the default cd plugin (in_cdda.dll) with CDReader |

Thanks for the replys!
It works now - I did a system restore to a few days ago and all is well - Sorry - I should have tried that first. Steven |
