Winampmb.txt .. thingy bob ...
Yeh, ok, so now ive got MikroAmp and all that installed, ive written the winampmb.txt file, placed it into the zip file, how do i get it to overwrite Winamps default crappy winampmb.htm?
Ive tried renameing the default htm file, doesnt work like that, so yeh, whats the go, how do i get My winampmb.txt to appear as if it belongs to the skin? |
CTRL+P open prefs, setup tab, make sure you have some kind of intenet connection "lan or dial up" checked.
No internet connection will always take you to stored HD copy of the winamp home page thingy. No need to change the winampmb.txt file to anything else. |
I dont want the stored HD winamp mb inner thingy.. i want it so it can read my mb inny thingy.. (well the docs in mikroamp explain that it is capable of doing so, but doesnt show how) instead of that HD WA default one.
This is when im not connected to the net.. i might add, as normal. |
I repeat.....

Checking the Lan connection box, usualy works better than the dial up box. I edit.... "mb inny" as you described is a seperate thang to the winampmb.txt file, mb.ini directs you towards a full time web based url of your choice, winampmb.txt is a MikroAMP only thing that opens that one file into your temp directory, and then only if you have MikroAMP running as well. Try swapping skins as well, sometimes when you open a winampmb.txt based skin as the default it will still take you to the winamp page, swap skins, and swap back, usualy works. I edit once again... Right click on the mikroamp gui, select config, find the option that says "allow mikroamp to go to skinmaster" or something like that, disable that, it's Mikes bit of self publicity in full effect there. |
