go the the internet options then go to the Advanced tab, and scroll down to where it says MULTIMEDIA, check there if the following are checked

Enable Image Toolbar
Play Animations in Web Pages
Play Sounds in Web Pages
Play Videos in Web Pages
Show Pictures
Smart Image Dithering

then if it doesn't work, get Opera or something,

I got XP Pro back in July (I got it at a local Microsoft meeting and they gave away copies :) ). It was very nice, except for the fact that it totally screwed up my registry 2 months later. I now am using Win98SE and am as happy as can be :).

what an utterly useless poll. it doesnt derive any usefull data. what about i hate xp?

i got win2kProSp2 from my friend and am preparing to install it on all my puters and burn a copy of the disk. best thing ever.

do you use any programs WITH IE?

DJ ROACH 4th December 2001 06:10

such as? its the only browser i use so...

prymo 4th December 2001 09:21

like, popup blockers, or anything that goes along with the browser, I used to use proxomitron, and it had a setting to block GIFs from playing over. A friend of mine had this problem too, and I fixed it for him, but hell if I can remember how, I'll do some searching right now and will check back in a bit (no sleep for me today)
