MSPaint skins
 

my first (semi attempt) skin was in mspaint. i have to say, it takes a lot of skill to make one look right ( because mine looked retarded). so, right now i am making a skin totally in mspaint, and with a calculator for the gradients. im being as hardcore as i can be, so, i have a question. does anybody else want to make one totally in mspaint? i know there are some out there, but a new one. maybe a bunch of people did it, we could have a contest or something.(no skinners, no transparency tracers, all with mspaint) so if anyone is interested post. after i am done with mine i am going to use photoshop, but i will finish it in paint. so, anybody want to do one?

i would do it if i had time, but i have exams right now, would you wait untill is finish or maybe after the holidays.

i got exams to. jeez they suck. well, i guess make it out of anything you want to. no theme, just pure mspaint :) this is going to kill me, i know, and i am not going to have computer access over the holidays ( parents = luddites) so i wont be working on mine either. actually, i havnt really got far. i have choppy two color eq bars so far... ;) keep in touch. ill write your handle down on my desk. post back and see what you think. and i *shouldnt* have time on my hands, but i am a lazy bum. and i have no job (not for long) and i have to switch majors because i failed lots of stuff. i am a disgrace. at least i dont use skinner proggies though ;);):p i dont mean it, all you skin diarrhea-ers, but, at least try a paint skin! there fun, and rewarding... jeez i think this is funny, that is natures wa of saying 'go to sleep' so i will, bye~

i know there are mspaint skins, but i wanted to know if there were any people that mainly use photoshop or psp that want to make a mspaint one just for fun. i think mine will be beter that the ice fusion one, too. not to burst your bubble ( its o joke no offense. too bad the internet doesnt carry voice inflection):p

quite understood and no offense taking. Hell back then winamp was used by a very small audience and the main eq pl were about all there were. But, even so I thought I did pretty good not knowing anything about winamp or how to skin. :)

well, at the time there were only a couple 'Fusion' based amps. I felt mine was an original for the most part. However, there was alot of rampant ripping and I just made it for me. I released it on lh.winamp.net or whatever it was not knowing my first skin ever would get the downloads Ice Fusion did. Hell, to me it looked way cartoonish and I still believe all my skins smell of that flavor. The only skin currently that I really love myself that I made JadeTube & AquaTube. They are my personal favorites, after 254 Skins Only 2 of my own do I even keep using...so that perhaps, should tell ya something. I actually prefer Titanium Sky by The Only Lynx. A very smooth and enticing skin. It seems to define what we as skinners seem to forget. That alot doesn't necessarily mean better...

I don't believe that that fusion one was made in MSpaint at all.

heres the screenshot of mine, it doesnt have gradients or shading or detail, only mapped out areas, but what should i change/keep/improve/get rid of to make it better. and those crazy buttons are from my template amp, use you r imagination, like what goes where. keep in mind only in mspaint!

Hey! Don't post .bmps coz Paint Shop Pro is associated with them and it's just easier if you post .jpgs/.gifs/.pngs

yea, 2.x. ill post a .jpg next time, but i was posting that going 37 hours without sleep, and putting it through photoshop seemed too hard at the time. and the .jpg - hey i thought i did do a jpg, guess not, well, im gonna do some more, now, so ill post an update like in 2 days or so. omarello, yeah, i actually started before i started this thread, but it wont be done for a WHILE, so you said you'll start over winter break, so thats good, because i wont have computer access after monday, until break is over. so, youll catch up. looking forward to it!

well yeah i am not gonne get acces to my pc from the next thursday till the 6th of jan , so i gues i wont, hehe, but i will try ti start up this week, although i have exams

Im new using MSPAINT
 

Im reallynew at this skinning shit becasue i got sick of looking at the crappy default skin they give you.I use Mspaint for most of my skins. I do use skinners sometimes but i dont like them much. I have to get a lot better at this skinning stuff thanks guys im out for now

well, thats great! you gotta get to know the guts and stuff, but once you do, i wouldnt even think about using a skinner, they are so limiting. anyway, heres an update, tell me if the shufrep is confusing, and what doesnt really fit in. keep in mind im just laying it out, not putting effects in or stuff like that till its all laid out.

i think you should change the red and green colors, i fell that they don't fit into the skin.
and the shuf rep is very confusing, try to decrease the background color of the text, if you get what i mean!! i mean the shadow of the shuff rep tihng.

hehe the red and green bits are from my template amp that i am going over. yeah, ill changeup the sufrep a lil, see if i can make it less confusing. thanks!

heres another update, (like anyone cares. hehehe) well, i messed around a little with the shufrep and monoster, also the eq got tweaked a little, like in the EQ PL buttons. what doesnt look like it belongs, what should i change, same deal as before, i guess.

im sober now, and bored, i think the main window looks pretty kickass, but thats just me. the rest of the skin is going to get the same treatment, and the volume bar is gonna be awesome too, kind of copying one that i saw somewhere where the areas brighten up as you turn it up, but i cut off most of the buttons on the bottom of the volume bmp, so it is just a 2 px wide strip moving along the top, if anyone want to test it for me :D then ill send it. remember it iss an mspaint skin > see 'vers msp 1.0' in the top left/main? well im gonna do a psp7 and an adobe photoshop one, both programs somehow ended up on my computer today, hey, i think i have amnesia who put morpheus on my computer? well at least i got a lot of viruses for being a pie rat :) oh, nm, what the real def of a software pirate, the one who cracks it and distributes it or the person that finds it on thier computer randomly? who cares i dragged this stupid joke for long enough, ill let it die now. please check it out and tell me what you think :)

Staffy - thats a mighty impressive skin you got brewing there - make me tempted to do my own in MSP.... I'd probably be lost .. I'm not even sure I installed MSPaint...
