fuct'n amazing.

saw it last night, just incredible. only thing i didnt like is that they removed too many crucial points. if i hadnt read the books very recently, i think i would have liked it much more. but it still kicked ass. i thought they did a great job on the balrog and cave troll, and the orcs too.

and bilbo, what did you mean sauron didnt look as evil as saruman? sauron looked pretty damn scary to me.

I wouldn't be too concerned Watadoo about NuLoser, myself, and other fantasy haters- in fact you should be happy. One thing common to all the best movies ever created is that they also have to be vehemently hated by a section of the population. One choice demographic has to despise the movie because it is an excellent example of what they hate so much.

Citizen Kane- hated by many.
2001 Space Oddyssey- hated by many.
Titanic- hated by many.

Joe Dirt- Hated by most :p

But what is the fantasy movie obsession with the vertically challenged? There are elves, gnomes, dwarfs, hobbits, leprechauns, fairies, and other species of small creatures.

Saruman was far more brooding, and his evil was far more tense within the movie that Sauron. Just a matter of opinion i suppose.
